FAQ
What is ArcLedger?
A non-custodial bookkeeping tool that turns your wallet's USDC transaction history into categorised, exportable business records.
Who is it for?
Freelancers, small agencies, and crypto-native small businesses that get paid in USDC and currently track that activity manually.
Is ArcLedger an accounting firm, or tax software?
No. It's a bookkeeping layer that produces clean, categorised records. It isn't a tax filer, a formal accounting statement, or a replacement for a qualified accountant.
Does ArcLedger control my funds?
No. It's non-custodial and read-only against the chain. It cannot move, hold, or spend your funds.
Do I need to connect my wallet or sign anything?
No. Adding a wallet only ever needs its public address. There's no wallet-connect flow, no signing prompt, and no seed phrase.
Do you store private keys?
Never. ArcLedger does not request, store, or transmit a private key or seed phrase under any circumstance.
Which blockchain does ArcLedger support?
Arc mainnet, with USDC as the supported asset. Wallets added before mainnet launched keep syncing from Arc testnet. The architecture is chain-agnostic, but no second chain is implemented yet. See the roadmap.
Can my accountant use the exports?
The CSV export is structured with dates, categories, counterparties, and amounts specifically so an accountant can work with it directly, rather than a raw list of transaction hashes. Direct integration with specific accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) hasn't been built or tested.
Are more chains planned?
It's the intended direction, but there's no committed timeline. See the roadmap's "future direction" section.
What happens to my private bookkeeping information?
It's kept isolated to your workspace. The privacy notice, linked in the footer, describes what's collected today. It's an accurate engineering draft, not yet reviewed by legal counsel, and it says so plainly.
Is ArcLedger free?
There's no billing or paid tier live today.
